President: Jennifer Cafarella-Mertens

Hi! My name is Jennifer Cafarella-Mertens and I am beyond excited and honored to be the TVFP President this year. I grew up on the softball fields, whether it be playing or spectating, and I have always enjoyed the community mindset that the game brought those around me. When I’m not busy with TVFP, I am a momma to two: a daughter and a son, who both definitely keep me on my toes, and I work two jobs. I am a highly organized and meticulously detailed individual and I’m looking forward to the great things to come with TVFP!

Vice President: Eddie Espinoza

I’m very happy to be serving as Vice President with Tanque Verde Fastpitch! My goal is simply to continue TVFP’s reputation of being a fun and safe place for strengthening and developing softball players.

Secretary: Bethany McKibben

I am honored to be serving the Tanque Verde Fastpitch as your board secretary. I work as a 3 and 4 year old preschool teacher when I’m not busy serving the league. I am excited to be here for another year of friendship, community, and memories to last a lifetime.

Hi, my name is Nick Fuller. I have lived in Tucson off and on all my life but been here for about 25 years. I have 2 girls who love softball. When we aren’t at the fields, I can be found fishing or golfing. I love to help wherever needed as it is my way to give back to the community. I am technically savvy, and I am hoping to modernize a lot of the board’s operations. I am excited to serve for a 2nd year on the TVFP Board, help the league grow, and watch my girls play.

Hi! My name is Courtney Garcia. I was born and raised in Tucson. My family has been involved in Tanque Verde Fastpitch for almost 2 years. We have had many great experiences with the league and I am excited to be a part of the board this year!

Hi!! My name is Kat Castellon-Droban! My family and I have been part of TVFP since Spring 2024. Although I am newer to TVFP my background in athletics is not. Growing up I was heavily involved in sports not just as an athlete, but also as a spectator. For four years I had the pleasure of working for an athletic department of a 2ASouth school as support staff, but also as a coach. The passion for sports that my father instilled in me I now pass down to my children. Watching my daughter develop a new skill and passion for softball while simultaneously building new friendships and camaraderie has been a great experience. Joining the board is a natural progression as we become more involved in TVFP. I look forward to seeing everyone out on the field this fall!

Social Media/Website Manager: Meghan Clark

I am a native Tucsonan, and love the desert! I worked for CPS for many years, but now I manage 3 kids, a softball team, and am on the board for softball and my son’s baseball league. I have *zero* athletic skills, but my husband and kids make up for it!

We love watching the kids develop and perfect their skills, and I truly love the atmosphere of a “team”. We came to TVFP a little over two years ago from another league, and I‘ve loved this league and those in it!

Fundraising Chair: Ali Fuller

Hi! I am Ali Fuller and am a native Tucsonan who grew up playing softball at Udall when TVFP was TV Bobby Sox. These fields that our girls play on feel like a part of home. This fall will be our family's 4th season with TVFP and I am excited to continue to serve this organization. My husband Nick and I have 2 girls in 10u and 12u. Being able to watch their growth in the sport while making friendships that carry over has been so rewarding. Looking forward to seeing you all at the park!

Member at Large: Erica Heitmann

My family and I have been with TVFP the last three years, with two daughters playing and both parents coaching. Last year I served as president for TVFP. This year, while I have backed off as president and now serve as a coach and board member, our family continues to be invested and committed in the TVFP community. I am excited to see how our new board improves our league!
